Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at various locations in the Cities of Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Chesapeake, starting at 6 p.m. with dinner. Legal educational programs and speakers are provided at all regular meetings starting at approximately 7 p.m.

Programs throughout the year include: Day-In-Court, Membership Drive, Summer Social, December Holiday Event, and April is our installation of officers.

NPALSA awards annually a $350 scholarship to one individual who will be furthering their education in the legal field.

NPALSA participates in community service projects throughout the year to include: Care packages to our military overseas; volunteering our time at the Southeastern Food Bank; food baskets, cleaning supplies, and school supplies & pack packs for The Dwelling Place; donations to Chesapeake Humane Society; Recycle Caps with Aveda (associated with Girl Scouts of Colonial Coast and TFC Recycling); collection of business attire for Centura College; volunteering our time at The Dwelling Place – Hampton Roads Night Out (Old Dominion University) to raise funds and awareness of homeless families; and cooking a meal for residents at Ronald McDonald House in Norfolk, Virginia.
